7/1/12: Spook is out of quarantine & is back home !

9/12/11: Spook has arrived safely back in Australia
after spending the past year in the US with his family...
He will be seen out and about in 2012 after completing
his month in quarantine and having some time to settle
back into the Aussie way of life again
25/11/11: Bree (Silvasheen Miss Megabucks) is
in whelp to Oska (AustCh/Multi Int. Ch Ashlaren Caipiroska)
with puppies expected on New Year's Eve 2011...
13/11/11: Our first show in 8 months and
Bindi wins Bitch Challenge & R/U Best of Breed
at Morwell/Traralgon Kennel Club Championship Show...
29/10/11: Bree (Silvasheen Miss Megabucks) has been
mated to Oska (Aust Ch/Multi Int Ch Ashlaren Caipiroska).
If successful, puppies expected New Year's Eve....

26/7/11: Bindi has commenced tracking & is doing well, although we are
having a few issues with our 'corners'. She's a great little tracker
and was so close to passing her Test 1 (sitting on an Excellent pass)
but we mucked up the last corner 
So we will focus on gaining more experience with this for
the rest of the tracking season (with lots of help and advice from
the experts, Eddie & Gail) and then look out next season !!!
Our sincere thanks to our friend Julie Angwin for all her
help this tracking season - i.e. walking miles and hiding
under tarps in the middle of Winter is NO FUN !!
We will do you proud next season - just watch us 
21/6/11: We have a litter planned for Bree
towards the end of the year. She will be mated
mid to late October, with puppies expected
late December/early January 2012.
Sire: Mult Int. Ch/Aust Ch Ashlaren Caipiroska
(This is a repeat of our beautiful January 2010 litter -
with 6 orders already, reservations are limited to
only another one or two at this stage).
25/5/11: Bindi is in training for her tracking Test 1
coming up at the end of June. She is showing alot
of potential and most of all, she is really enjoying herself !
Thanks to everyone at Gippsland Dog Obedience Club
(especially Julie, Helen, Gail & John)
for all their assistance and helpful advice so far.
Hopefully, we can put it all together on the day

HAPPY 9th BIRTHDAY TO OUR BEAUTIFUL
SKYE (Ch Silvasheen Indian Summer)
It wasn't a particularly memorable celebration for Skye,
as she developed pyometra and was rushed
to Monash Vet Clinic for an emergency spey on
her birthday....thankfully, she has recovered well
and is back to her feral little self.

17/12/10: Spook has arrived safely in the US.
He will be there for a period of 12 months and will
hopefully, return to Australia in December 2011.
We will miss our little man dreadfully and hope he keeps safe.
Once back in Oz, we hope to finish off his Australian
show title.

14/11/10: A great weekend showing at Morwell
and right on our doorstep - only two minutes from home !
Spook was a little star, winning
DOG CC, Best of Breed & PUPPY IN GROUP
both days and also winning
RUNNER UP IN GROUP on Sunday.
A great effort for only 10 months old.
Bindi won Bitch CC & R/U BOB on Saturday.

20/9/10: Spook is 1st in Minor Puppy Dog Class
handled brilliantly once again, by Sharon.
& Bindi 2nd in Minor Puppy Bitch Class at
Royal Melbourne Show.
We had a wonderful day catching up with everyone
and having a few laughs.
19/9/10: SPOOK WINS 'MINOR PUPPY IN SHOW'
at the Weimaraner Club of Victoria Inc. Championship Show
under South African judge, Miss Diana Hansen.
Our sincere thanks to Sharon Sabbatini for
doing such a wonderful job of handling Spook
for the very first time !
Spook's critique: "Nice type of Weimaraner - no exaggeration. Head not
too long, with median line nicely chiselled, with a nice round eye and
keen expression. Correct bite. Nice straight front - balanced in angulation,
good firm level topline. Firm compact feet. Well set tail. Moved soundly."
BINDI was a very good girl in the ring and came
2nd in her Class, so a great day for us !
Bindi's Critique: "Darker grey in colour, very pretty head
and expression. Preferred the angulation of #1 but a promising
pup nonetheless which could mature into a very pleasing bitch."
(Judge's comment on the Class: "Three lovely pups which could change places anytime.")
We also had a wonderful time showing Skye in
the Veterans' Parade, along with her litter brothers

20/9/10: We received some very sad news whilst at
the Royal Melbourne show today....
Johanna Lynch lost her beautiful boy Harley ~
Canadian Ch Sveorice Klassic Knucklehead (Imp. Can) (pictured below)
today at the age of 11 years & 8 months old.
A lovely dog and the sire of our
Dual Ch (T) Silvasheen Aint Half Bad ('Zac') (Co-owned with Gail & Peter Smith).
Harley stamped his type on his progeny & passed on his beautiful
headpiece to his son Zac and also his great grandchildren.
We have some very fond memories of when Jann & I took Piper to
visit Harley one very hot day in February 2004 (see pic below).
Our sincere sympathies to Jo, Damian & Peter on the loss
of their beloved 'Noodle' XXX
