We are situated in Morwell, Victoria, Australia.
Our kennel was established in 1980 with our first Weimaraner,
Greybeau Archilles, followed closely by Greylag Silva Warena
and our true foundation bitch, Grauhund Hi Calypso in 1983.
Our dogs are our family and live in the house with us.
We usually only breed a litter once every 2-3 years and
our next litter is planned for sometime in 2009.
** All our breeding stock is hip and elbow scored and
all will be DNA profiled in the coming year. **
We focus very strongly on good temperament, breed type
and hunting ability and each and every litter is thoughtfully
researched prior to taking place.
The showring has never been the primary focus for our kennel.
We have certainly enjoyed many years of successfully
showing our dogs, and acknowledge the importance of
adhering to the current FCI Breed Standard in order to
maintain breed type. It is equally important to
never forget that the Weimaraner is a hunt, point &
retrieving breed with a kind and biddable temperament
above all else and not just a "pretty face" in the showring.
Our puppies are usually spoken for well before being born,
so a wait may be necessary. However, if we are unable
to help you, we will endeavour to refer you to a
reputable breeder and/or the nearest Club Secretary
of your State Weimaraner Club.
